Senior Systems Engineer - Integration - # 20180619-008

Position is located at Huntsville, AL – no relocation allowance available

Job Description & Required Skills:

Candidate will work on a complex and advanced integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) command and control program for the US Army. Candidate will act as lead engineer in the system architecture and analysis. The selectee will lead a team to develop, document and maintain solutions for the integration and testing of the interface between multiple software packages developed by different primes. The selectee will assist in ensuring technical specifications and standards are met, help identify software/hardware interface problems, support the definition of input/output parameters and ensure integration of the entire system. Performs analysis of test results and prepares comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports. Writes discrepancy reports and performs integration regression testing to verify incorporated fixes. The selectee will work out of the IAMD project office.

Required Qualifications:

Candidate must have experience in Air and Missile Defense Programs and be knowledgeable about military programs such as PATRIOT, JLENS, JTAGS, MEADS, Sentinel and THAAD. Familiarity with tools such Rational Software Architect (RSA), UML and IDL is a requirement. The candidate must have experience or be capable of transforming models to IDL using RSA.

Experience in software design and development: Object-Oriented design, JAVA or C++ and the UNIX/LINUX OS. Experience with integration of and use of COTS products. Experience with formal software verification and test. Continuous integration practices including build and deployment automation, automated unit testing. Ability to identify need for and develop scripts to improve integration process efficiency and effectiveness. Ability to perform SW defect isolation including code and data analysis. Ability to work effectively in a loosely structured organization with minimal direct supervision.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience in IAMD functional areas such as Track Management, IBCS Defense Design, IBCS Mission Support, Embedded Training, Mission Control and Sensor Services is a plus.

Education Requirement:

MS/BS in Engineering, Mathematics or Computer Science from accredited University and 10+ years of technical experience.
