Linux Red Hat Administrator - #20180111-044

Job Description & Required Skills:

Real time Engineer for the Linux Red Hat System development team. These duties include:

  • Ensure that all software and hardware is configured so that the Linux Red Hat System is configured to meet or exceed our customer’s expectations.
  • Work with the development leads/developers to ensure the application software is tuned to run on the hardware to which it is targeted including the following:
    • Make sure the proper compiler options are used to get the best application performance
    • Ensure the application code is designed/written to get the best speed that can be obtained from the HW
    • Configure the HW BIOS so that it will run the application code as efficiently as possible
    • Configure the Linux OS to make sure it is operating as rapidly as possible and does not allow the application to stall or data to be dropped

Required Qualifications:

  • Be familiar with software development tools currently being used in the industry
  • Develop scripts and procedures for the System Administrator’s to make sure the application installations are smooth and complete
  • Must be able to configure and build Linux kernels downloaded from kernel.org that have had the RT patches applied, test the kernel(benchmark it) for suitability for running the application without regressions from previous versions
  • Be familiar with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and its RPM packaging
  • Be familiar with at least basic networking concepts and are able to configure a Linux system’s networking including multicast capability
  • Be able to incorporate drivers into the Linux kernel supplied by vendors
  • Be able to write scripts (Bash, Python, etc.) that assist the developers/System Administrator’s perform their duties and ensure the quality of the system/application installations; also be familiar with the kickstart process that installs systems
  • Be familiar with state-of-the-art hardware designs so recommendations can be made to government personnel about hardware acquisitions that the application software is to run on for future generations of the application

Experience and Education Requirement:

At least 5 years of Linux Red Hat experience. College degree in related field preferred.

Rapid Scenario Prototyping (RaSP) Team Member – # 20180301-047

Position is located at Huntsville, AL – no relocation allowance available

Job Description & Required Skills: Position is part of the well-established team responsible for Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Ground Test (GT) design and planning for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Ideally, a highly qualified candidate will have knowledge of the BMDS, be able to efficiently generate analysis tools, possess the desire and capability to utilize existing team developed tools, and quickly learn processes and procedures for GT design.

Required Qualifications: Knowledge of the BMDS; accustomed to performing system/data analysis; good presentation abilities; SQL and Database experience; proficient with .NET (C# and C++)

Desired Qualifications: Python, Microsoft Visual Studio, MATLAB, FORTRAN

The ICOFT provides realistic institutional training in all areas of the THAAD Enhanced Operator/Maintainer operations and maintenance tasks for the THAAD Fire Control and Communication (TFCC), Radar, and Launcher components. The ICOFT replicates the tactical system environment and supports training of the TFCC, Radar, and Launcher tactical software. Within the training environment, the ICOFT inserts faults and captures, records, grades, and plays back student input.

A Test Engineer is needed to support ICOFT requirements verification, performance analysis, and system level testing. This position will operate with other software and system test resources and equipment, support test analysis, system integration (HW/SW), user feedback, and the fielding process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and create test scripts
  • Provide traceability from requirement to technical specifications
  • Lead and execute testing events
  • Develop test plans
  • Develop test procedures for hardware and software testing
  • Document results of testing
  • Analyze and test execution of user and system interface functionality

  • Produce training support package materials including Instructor and Key personnel Training,
  • Produce PowerPoint presentations and meeting minutes
  • Follow established processes and work with quality assurance, configuration management, and test and evaluation personnel to ensure that the technical documentation is accurate and complete
  • Participate in peer reviews
  • Provide proofreading, editorial, and writing support on all material produced by the team
  • Provide support for maintaining project schedules

Required Qualifications:
