Project Analyst / Administrative Support - #20171018-037

Position is located at Huntsville, AL – no relocation allowance available

Job Description & Required Skills:

Provide Analytical support:

  • Conduct technical review of objective evidence for milestone reviews
  • Prepare briefings by consolidating technical information
  • Provide assistance in making program technical decisions
  • Meet with and coordinate the information from integrated program teams
  • Research structural designs and provide courses of action based on recommendations of qualified engineers

Provide administrative support:

  • Writing, proofreading, and editing of documents
  • Prepare correspondences and coordinate schedules
  • Coordinate travel using the Defense Travel System (DTS)
  • Provide support for programs, contracts and financial management
  • Provide assistance with maintaining personnel, security, contracts and other files
  • Support FSO by executing visitor control and facility access procedures
  • Coordinate badge requests and VARs for personnel
  • Utilize and assist in maintaining office equipment and supplies to include procurement
  • Assist Management in the preparation of plans, proposals, contract deliverables and reports
  • Maintain database information to include data entry and auditing

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Proven track record of proficient, business writing skills and excellent communication skills in general
  • Previous experience with DTS
  • Ability to use discretion as this position involves exposure to sensitive information necessitating considerable use of tact, diplomacy, and judgment
  • Experience with JPAS and SIMS desired

Education Requirement:

  • BS or BA desired and four years of related experience or HS diploma and eight years of experience relative to the position

Security Clearance:

  • Current, active Secret clearance or clearance that is eligible for re-activation

 

Interoperability Engineering System (IES) Test & Evaluation Engineer -

Position is located at Huntsville, AL – no relocation allowance available

Job Description & Required Skills:

The Software Engineering Directorate (SED) is seeking a candidate in support of the IES Team. This individual will support test and evaluation efforts for IES software system. The candidate should be able to perform requirements analysis, author test plans and procedures, understand/analyze data link Military Standards, perform general lab integration activities, and perform Functional Qualification Tests (FQTs) of the IES SW.

The candidate should be a self-starter and be able to operate with minimal supervision. The candidate must be flexible and work well with other team members. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required as well as attention to detail. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to become the in house developer for the IES tool. This would involve C++ and C# development on Windows. Daily duties will be conducted at the Software Engineering Directorate in Huntsville, AL. Those duties will include: Interaction with site personnel to coordinate test lab architecture and configurations; Authoring test plans and procedures (test cases); Completing Software Trouble Reports; Identifying and documenting system engineering requirements from customer requirements documentation, goals and objectives and Maintaining working knowledge of changes to data link Military Standards. Other duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Good interpersonal skills. Test execution experience. Experience with development of Test plans and procedures. Understanding of common tactical data link (TADIL) communications protocols and uses: MIL-STD-6016; MIL-STD-6011; MIL-STD-3011; and DIS, etc.

Desired Qualifications:

Understanding of tactical communications radios (MIDS). Understanding of Network, System Integration and Test Environment (NSITE) systems. Understanding of Interoperability Engineering System (IES). System engineering requirements analysis expertise. Data analysis experience. Requirements writing experience.

Education Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree in Math, Science, Engineering or related discipline.

Travel:

This position may require that the individual be able to travel to support Continental United States (CONUS) activities. Duration and amount of travel may vary but will be minimal.

Security Clearance:

The Candidates for this position must have, at a minimum, a United States SECRET level security clearance.
