Job Description & Required Skills:

The Modeling and Simulations Contract Framework and Tools (MASC-F) program supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) in performing Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Modeling & Simulation (M&S) and its intended uses. This includes: Concept Evaluation, Developmental Engineering, Testing and Verification, Assessment, Training, and Operational Support.

MASC-F personnel will support in the following areas.

  • Transition the Objective Simulation Framework (OSF) development and sustainment from the current contract to the MASC-F contract.
  • Modify, enhance, develop, and sustain of the MDA Objective Simulation Framework (OSF) to meet MDA's evolving M&S requirements.
  • Maintain and evolve the OSF architecture and external interfaces.
  • Develop, modify and enhance other BMDS tools as required.

Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities. Design, develop, document, test, and debug software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Apply knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Correct program errors, prepare operating instructions, compile documentation of program development, and analyze system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensure software standards are met.

The candidate will be working in an agile development environment and will be responsible for supporting elements of the design/sustainment/development efforts. The candidate should be a well-rounded software developer with broad experiences but with a focused interest and demonstrable skills in C++/Java. The candidate can expect to work closely in agile teams. The candidate should be a self-starter that is attentive to details and works well in a multi-disciplined teaming environment.

Additionally, the candidate will facilitate an agile team as the Scrum Master. Conducting team tag-ups, meeting with product owners, release manager, and scrum of scrums. Ensuring the team remains engaged and productive.

Required Qualifications:

The THAAD Evaluation Center (TEC) Element Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) team is seeking a Radar Analyst to perform THAAD Radar software performance analyses and assist other team members in the execution of THAAD element-level testing and analyses. Job Description & Required Skills:

The Systems Simulation, Software and Integration Directorate (S3I) is seeking a candidate in support of the IES Team. This individual will support test and evaluation efforts for IES software system. The candidate should be able to perform requirements analysis, author test plans and procedures, understand/analyze data link Military Standards, perform general lab integration activities, and perform Functional Qualification Tests (FQTs) of the IES SW.

The candidate should be a self-starter and be able to operate with minimal supervision. The candidate must be flexible and work well with other team members. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required as well as attention to detail. Daily duties will be conducted at the Systems Simulation, Software and Integration Directorate in Huntsville, AL.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interact with site personnel to coordinate test lab architecture and configurations
  • Author test plans and procedures (test cases)
  • Complete Software Trouble Reports
  • Identify and document system engineering requirements from customer requirements documentation, goals and objectives
  • Maintain working knowledge of changes to data link Military Standards
  • Other duties as required

Required Qualifications:

Serve as Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Verification and Validation (V&V) analyst for the THAAD Evaluation Center (TEC) V&V Lead. Communicate and coordinate with the four TEC lab leads to acquire data in pursuit of successful accreditation of all TEC labs by Missile Defense Agency (MDA) THAAD Systems (THS), Army Test and Evaluation Center (ATEC), and Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Operation Test Agency (OTA). Analyze M&S data at a missile component and/or system level to produce V&V evidence for accreditation use by THS, ATEC, and BMDS OTA. Coordinate with TEC lab component level Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to provide root cause analysis for V&V results. Document analysis results in the form of V&V Reports or White Papers to build the V&V body of evidence for each M&S product. Prepare and present briefings as required on assigned subject matter to TEC V&V Lead and MDA THS V&V and M&S leads.

Support TEC presentations to ATEC and BMDS OTA as required. Clearly and effectively communicate (verbal and written) status, issues, solutions, schedule requirements, etc. to TEC V&V Lead.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with root cause analysis and V&V results as well as documenting results in the form of V&V Reports or White Papers
  • Experience preparing and presenting briefings
  • Candidate must be able to interact effectively with individuals of different experience levels and backgrounds including government and prime contractor personnel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must

Desired Qualifications:

  • System and component-level analysis experience with THAAD missile

Systems Analyst/Engineer – 20181128-044

Job Description & Required Skills:

The Integration and Verification Team of the National Team is seeking individuals who are creative and think-out-of-the-box to perform test planning and design for mission segments within the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) mission area. Individual will provide technical expertise in data management, process design, and system test to accomplish the system-level testing necessary for the fielding of advanced and emergent BMDS capabilities. Individual will support the implementation of process improvements to more effectively collect, communicate, design to, and manage BMDS System Test Requirements. Individual will work with subject matter experts across multiple project and product offices within MDA to efficiently produce the MDA Integrated Master Test Plan that will meet the System Test Requirements and the test designs necessary to execute the test plan. Individual will work in a cross-discipline product team and routinely interface with National Team group leads, senior management, and government personnel responsible for test planning, design and execution. Candidate’s on-the-job performance may lead to assignment in more senior roles.

Required Qualifications:

Individual must have a technical background in data management, test planning, test design, and/or execution. Candidate must demonstrate ability to think critically and capture concepts in technical papers, presentations, and discussions. Individual must possess good oral and written communication skills. Individual must demonstrate the ability to lead process change efforts. Capable of working both independently and in a team environment.

Desired Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience with integration and/or test of missile defense applications or similar domains (air combat, air defense, intercept of ballistic targets, intercept of non-ballistic targets, space vehicles, sub-orbital mechanics, etc.). Test planning and/or design experience in one or more aspects of the Ballistic missile defense system (e.g., Aegis Weapons Systems, Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD), Fire Control, C2BMC, BMDS sensors (EO/IR/RF), kill vehicles, interceptors, countermeasures, etc.). Systems engineering experience with large, complex systems. Demonstrated data management skills such as database design and/or configuration management.

Lab Manager Cyber Security/Systems Administrator - # 20181130-045

Job Description / Duties:

Provides cyber security along with technical and administrative support to DoD or other government agency. Assists with lab ISSOs and contractor Cyber/Security team on lab Cyber and Security requirements. Work with government Security to manage organizational requirements. Work on-site Mission Support and ACI to manage organizational cyber requirements. Maintain a security posture over all aspects of the government lab (to include tactical test strings, ancillary lab assets, comms shelters, and personnel). Maintain government lab inventory. Exhibits excellent communication skills within a team-based environment. Coordinates and communicates activities, status updates, outage notifications and schedule information. Prepares required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation.

Assists with hardware and software installation, configuration, troubleshooting, scanning, patching and backup of client servers and workstations. Performs hardware and software upgrades. Applies security patches and recommended operating system (OS) patches. Tests and installs desktop software and adds and removes user accounts. Provides system performance tuning and performs backups and restores. Assists with setup and operations during dry run and formal test events.

Required Skills / Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in cyber security and information technology or system/network administration
